Occasionally, we are asked to paint and decorate the central crown of our yurts, a service we've provided for many customers over the years. Each crown is meticulously prepared and hand-painted over a 10-day period. Pricing depends on the chosen design and the size of the crown, which ranges from 60 cm to 160 cm. Our yurt shelves have been flying out of the workshop lately, and word has spread—everyone is asking for them! Many customers have returned for more after experiencing their practicality and style. Made from pine and finished with oil and wax for a smooth look, our standard shelves are suspended by cord, making them versatile and adaptable for any yurt, home, or wall.
We provide heavy-duty ground sheets made from building-grade PVC, making them virtually indestructible. Available in mid-grey or light blue, these ground sheets feature sides that rise 20 cm at the walls for added durability and protection. Bagana, the traditional decorative upright posts that support the crown, are a signature feature of Mongolian Gers. When included in a Yurt Workshop Ger, they provide an authentic Mongolian aesthetic. Beyond their visual appeal, bagana posts offer added stability in high winds and heavy snow. In most of our yurts, however, these supports can be removed once the yurt is set up. Feel free to reach out with any questions about their usage. For yurts 18 feet and larger, a basic set of unfinished wood crown supports is provided for pitching only, to be removed afterward. For those who wish to keep the crown supports in place, we offer an ornate version finished to match the doors and windows.
