Here at the workshop, we have been making beautiful windows for many years and virtually every yurt we make has a window.

Windows are used for many reasons. We love the light they let into the interior, the views and the ventilation options too.
We offer an optional fly screen to make sure that the air can enter but not the unwanted guests.
We offer two classes of windows, the canvas window and wooden/glass windows as described below:
The Canvas Window
Please note, the canvas window is not suitable with an insulated and lined yurt.
We make our canvas windows from tough clear PVC or fly netting. An optional roll down the flap of canvas can be supplied to close the window.
In addition, we offer our deluxe opening canvas window with removable PVC window that can be replaced with a fly netting for your summer comfort.
**These windows are NOT suitable for insulated yurts.
Rectangular:
Our standard size is 60cmx45cm (24"x18").
Round:
We can also provide round windows 45cm(18") or 60cm(24") diameter with or without an external blind.
Wooden Windows
We are proud to say that we were the first UK and European yurt maker making wooden windows for yurts. Over the years we have developed two types of wooden window in various styles. The types are the fixed window and the opening window, described below.
No matter which type you prefer, each window is floor standing, the same height as the wall and made traditionally with extremely strong jointing and incorporated into the wall of the yurt frame in such a way it adds strength to the yurt. Each window comes with 6 sturdy steel rings, the traditional method of attaching your covers to the frame.
We spend days making your windows and the quality is second to none.
Finishing
Having spent all that time and love in crafting your windows we want them to look great and last a long time. So we don't scrimp on the finishing. Each window is sanded and smoothed in preparation for finishing. We use a high-quality German finish that comes in three parts and we end up applying four separate coats of it to create an absolutely brilliant and durable finish.
All our glass windows come with reinforced glass as standard.
The Fixed Window
A fixed non-opening glass window.
Frame width options 50, 75, 100cm.
For smaller yurts, the 75cm is the popular choice. For yurts, 16 foot and bigger the 100cm is more popular. And of course, many of our customers prefer lots of glass and go for the
glass wall yurt.
The Opening Window
A sophisticated and stylish opening (inwards) window.
Standard frame width options 75, 100 and a huge 200cm (bespoke windows can be supplied)
The Deluxe Opening Window
The same height standard opening wooden window with handmade hinges, catches and bolts.

Glass Wall Yurts
One of our unique and popular innovations is our glass-wall yurts. Instead of one or two windows, we make a bank of connected window panels that open up the entire side of the yurt.
Any number of windows can be used, and if you like the whole yurt wall can be made from glass, although most examples have 20-30% of the wall as windows.
These yurts are filled with light yet with the addition of curtains, shutters or blinds they can be made private and snug.
We use a laminated glass so it is secure and safe to transport. However, we can supply double glazed panels too.
