The 18 foot ger is a big space. Inside it feels roomy, open and the high roof means you can stand up next to the wall. This size ger is great for living in. Room for all your furniture, beds, a kitchen, it easily fits a family. With the addition of a wooden door and felt cover this becomes an all year round home, safe, secure, warm and beautiful.
For an 18 foot ger we make the frame heavier and stronger using a closer spaced lattice frame. Sweet chestnut is a very strong wood and we use oak for the big crown.
With the 18 foot gers we provide at no extra cost bagans (wooden uprights) to assist when pitching and provide stability in bad weather. Also note the red strap in the picture, this is the storm strap and is tied to a heavy object during a storm to stabilise the ger.
